Life on my patio…

Birds are the most accomplished aeronauts the world has ever seen. They fly high and low, at great speed, and very slowly. And always with extraordinary precision and control.  David Attenborough

The most friendly male Red Cardinal! Finally it’s partner has overcome fear…

Not sure if this is a finch… very fidgety to capture on frame!

Spend time with nature! Listen to the birds and bees… a beautiful way to destress!

  1. Brilliant gallery this week! The bird you are unsure of looks like a brown-headed cowbird. One of their traits is they will discard their eggs in other bird’s nest leaving them to be raised by the other species. Commonly mockingbirds and blue jays. 😊

      1. I might suggest you get a field guide. I like the ones by David Allen Sibley. You can find them on Amazon. I have the Eastern & Western United States versions but they have Canada in there too. They are my bibles especially in the field when trying to identify birds. If not, I can keep helping you out. LOL! Glad to do it too! 🙂

        1. That’s a great idea! I have a mobile app for identifying plants 😃 For me it’s like learning from scratch, having moved to this part of the world just before the pandemic! Mr Google is also pretty useful and it’s fun learning from the wise ppl in the blogosphere! Thanks for always being there 🤗
