I never promised you a rose garden…

IMG_3125
From my garden – last month just after the rains!

Life isn’t a bed of roses – we all have our share of ups n downs! The beauty is in steering through this journey without giving up, trying to tackle the problems together and accepting the fact that we all are human! Try to see the positives in a relationship. If it outnumbers the negatives – just stick around and give life a chance!

This year we will be celebrating our thirtieth! And this song – Rose Garden, has been my all time favourite. A few others which my man plays for me are – When I Need You – Celine Dion, Up Where We Belong – Joe Cocker, Tonight I Celebrate My Love – Roberta Flack….

ROSE GARDEN

I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden
Along with the sunshine there’s gotta be a little rain sometime
When you take, you gotta give, so live and let live and let go, oh, oh, oh, oh
I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden….

I could sing you a tune and promise you the moon
But if that’s what it takes to hold you I’d just as soon let you go
But there’s one thing I want you to know
You’d better look before you leap; still waters run deep
And there won’t always be someone there to pull you out
And you know what I’m talking about
So smile for a while and let’s be jolly; love shouldn’t be so melancholy
Come along and share the good times while we can

I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden
Along with the sunshine, there’s gotta be a little rain sometime

I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden
Along with the sunshine, there’s gotta be a little rain sometime.
