Some hangout the whole day…
Some visit at regular intervals and snack on roasted sunflower seeds…
At times they taste othes bird seeds too…
I’ve seen the blue jays hanging out on the trees always with the red cardinals! They do come near the bird feeders by the patio but I’ve never seen them eat from it…
They for sure look the happiest on the trees… The black bird with a shiny blue neck – maybe a grackle, is a real thief by nature! Will sneak in and grab a seed and fly out! Then he will return again for a second serving…
I guess the one above is a mourning dove – I don’t like the name! Very docile though – they are happy pecking on whatever is fallen down from the feeder…
Just checking… is what Mr squirrel says! But many a times he just gobbles off everything out there!
It’s real fun to hangout with them! I’m having a great time….
Check out some real candid shots here!

Lovely shots! We don’t have a bird feeder. A couple of little guys sit up on the roof chirping half the day. I wonder if they’re saying ‘where’s your feeder, woman?’ π π

These are awesome shots from your yard. Really great! Your squirrel looks drunk but managed to stay upright. It looks like he was looking around to make sure no one saw his stumbling. We have baffled so our squirrels have to hang out with the mourning doves on the ground waiting for the drops. Thanks so much for participating this week. π

So glad you liked it! Ha ha… the squirrel is very determined and a great entertainer! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts π Now Iβm worried about the next week – Iβm yet to spot a yellow one π

I don’t know what I was thinking when I put the yellow in there. I don’t have many yellow birds either. I will have to recycle at least one photo because I haven’t been able to get away on a trail or anywhere in 2 weeks. π Guess I needed to challenge myself.

I hope that works. Guessing they are in your area. The American Goldfinch is only here for a few weeks in Jan-Feb. π
