Deprived of the freedom to grow!

In California…

Customising how trees n shrubs grow – isn’t it pretty brutal! Yes, pretty but brutal!!

Topiary is  practice of training perennial plants by clipping the foliage and twigs of trees, and shrubs to develop and maintain clearly defined shapes, whether geometric or fanciful.

If trees could speak, I’m sure they would protest!

Have a great day!

    1. So true, a real torture for the trees! I think we should learn to admire plants n trees in their natural form and only trim them, if really required, in our gardens only if it interferes with our functioning or safety! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts 😊

  1. This is why I have learned not to plant trees (or allow them to grow) right next to the house. They’re so much more beautiful when allowed to grow naturally. Sometimes I have moved them to other spots when they’re seedlings, but I’ve run out of room in my yard which looks like a jungle. Thank you for speaking for the trees.
